Finally after all of these years
the smile on my face has reappeared
i no longer feel lost, i no longer feel pain
i now know that i wasnt to blame

you were etched in my heart but now im free
from all the hurt that you caused me
i was numb, i was feeling down
i thought i couldnt go on without you around

i closed off from the world, i needed time to heal
to forget all the memories and the way you made me feel
i became stronger and i began to see
this beautiful world that stands before me

my future was in front of me im living again at last
i never thought id fall in love the way i did before
