Whats the difference

What is the difference
between life and death
is it a rhythmic thump of your heart
or is it just a breath

is it just the loss of your senses
or is it being completely numb
is it what we were
or is it what we've become

is it the ability to move
or the ability to stay still
is it the loss of faith
or is it the loss of will

is it being surrounded by sorrow
or is it simply the indifference
to tell you the truth about life and death
their really is no difference
