The Passionate Mother to Her Darling Daughter. [Pt.1]

[There is a poem called The Passionate Shepard to His Love. And there is the reply called The Nymph's Reply. So my english teacher had us write our own version of both of them.]

The Passionate Mother to her Darling daughter

Oh my sweet how much you've grown,
Your beauty is breaktaking.
It's finally time to be on your own,
This is your life for the taking.

Off to college, there you go,
All grown up and by yourself.
My God, I don't want to let you go,
I want to keep you for myself.

My precious girl, I'm so proud of you,
Look at how you've bloomed.
It seems you were born yesterday,
This day has come too soon.

You're so youthful and full of life,
Wonderful in every way.
You've become such a great young woman,
I've been anticipating this day.

Go ahead and have your fun at school,
But sweetie, please be safe.
Because losing you to anything at all,
Is something I could not take.

Laugh all the time, cry rarely,
Live everyday like it's your last.
Meet a nice young man, don't drink too much,
I want you to have a blast.

Don't forget your dad and I,
Or your sister and your brother.
Be good, be safe, I love you.
Love always, your mother.
