Silent Sorrow

by Lina   Jan 28, 2008

Forget those winter nights -
For you has come the morning;
I miss that time, won't lie,
But can no longer mourn it,
I disappear, forget me like I've never been.
Now I'm feeling free,
I'm trying to find my home,
Love's given up on me,
Leaving me here alone -
It is my choice...
In my own hands is my destiny.

Hurt by falling from heaven,
I'm suffocating in silent sorrow;
Through my pride, dear, you haven't
Seen one tear, and I let you know
That I'm leaving behind you
And all my past, I can let it go.
It still hurts, but I hide it.
Say goodbye, I have locked the door.

Silent and loving voice
Calls me and disappears,
Warm and so tender hands
Wipe away all my tears...
Beautiful lies. Mere reveries. It's time to wake.
I can't stand your glance, so cold,
Can't break this silence, hollow,
Between us is a wall
Of 'then' and 'now'... I swallow
All of this bitter pain...
Just let me hold you, then fade...

Hurt by falling from heaven,
I'm suffocating in silent sorrow;
Through my pride, dear, you haven't
Seen one tear, and I let you know
That I'm leaving behind you
And all my past, I can let it go.
It still hurts, but I hide it.
Say goodbye, I have locked the door.

Each word is now said,
But never heard -
The song is shattered.
I will forgive,
You will forget,
And fare you well...
It's for the better.
