Sanctuary for Dreamers

by Beautiful Chaos   Jan 28, 2008

The sky,
The stars,
The fading moon,
Awaken my sweet mind,

To dream,
Of something beautiful,
Yes,
Leave the world behind.

A quiet place,
Unknown to man,
Where simple pleasures lie,

To touch,
To hold,
A little piece,
Of something more than I.

To feel,
To fall,
Into the void,
This wish for something more,

Screaming out,
Within the dark,
A want,
I can't ignore.

Wow! Beautiful piece, it has its own very original rhythm and it posses amount of vivid imagery. First two opening stanzas are fantastic, they pulled me right in to the deep atmosphere of this poem.

    -To touch,
    To hold,
    A little piece,
    Of something more than I.-

This stanza holds such simplicity and I admire greatness of that four lines.

All in all I enjoyed in every word and I honestly think that you wrote this poem on incredible way.

I really like the flow of the stanzas with 2, 2, 4, 6 syllables like:

    "To feel,
    To fall,
    Into the void,
    This wish for something more,"

And think that maybe you should have used it all the way through but still, it's a great poem. I really like the rhyme too and the ending is really strong.
