Roller Coaster

by Melissa   Jan 29, 2008

Life is like a roller coaster,
Something you have to deal with everyday.
Even though you may not want to go on the ride,
You have no choice.

Many ups and downs,
Which can give you a scream.
But usually no matter what,
You always make it through the craziest quirks.

Big families getting closer during the holidays,
While others are drifting apart.
Moms and dads nestling their children in bed,
While other children tuck themselves in.

Friendships blossoming everywhere you go,
But some also fade away.
Someone could be gone with just a blink of an eye,
Before you even realize what's in front of you.

Many people changing,
Even though you love them for whom they are.
You just learn to accept it,
Even though it could tear you apart.

Looking at the world around you,
You have many paths you could follow.
Whether you choose the one directed to heaven,
Is your choice to make.

Finally when it's your time to go,
You will leave this earth with a history.
Making a difference in peoples lives,
By helping those to better understand themselves.
