The Sky

by Krystal   Jan 29, 2008

Like silent tears they fall with grace,
Smothering the black of the night,
Yet lighting everything up with an illuminated light.
I look up through the snow as it lands on my face.

Why does the sky cry with such sorrow?
Has it's heart been frozen with a powerful hate?
Or maybe perhaps Spring was just a bit late.
But why does it cry as if there is no tomorrow?

When the clouds are gone and the sun shines through,
The sky lights up with such a soft heat,
That it makes my skin tingle down to my feet.
As I stare at the sky, an astonishing blue.

But my favourite is the summer night,
When the stars look upon us with such desire,
My dreams go ablaze as a wild fire,
And I lose myself with a feeling of delight.

Lovely imagery...the flow was nice, the words just complex enough to make you really concentrate on what you were saying, yet not get confused...well done!
