Having The World As Eyes

by Janine Alford   Jan 29, 2008

It's filthy, it's dirty, it's unhealthy.
Most people would probably disagree.
In my eyes this is what I only see.
Most of us walk around unexcited and angry.

The rules seem so hard to obey.
The sky isn't blue it's gray.
Maybe that will change someday.
Stop putting things on delay.

Fights will soon decrease.
If only there was a time of peace.
Only if pain could be released.
Maybe so much hurt wouldn't be unleashed.

I'm only saying this to make things right.
But what if my right isn't alright.
All I see is darkness surrounded by light.
Our chances are soon gone from our eyesight.

If people could see the truth.
Most of this wouldn't effect the youth.
It shouldn't be a tooth for a tooth.
Our decisions shouldn't take place in a booth.

I don't want to leave my words unsaid.
We are to scared to see what's ahead.
That's why our thoughts shouldn't be kept in our head.
Maybe we won't end up dead.

This is what happens when you have the world as eyes.
Aren't you sick of all these lies.
It's our hearts that need to arise.
Then maybe our insides won't die.
