Personal good deed

by Summer   Jan 29, 2008

At least once per day
I walk throughout the halls
and smile at the loners
perched against the wall

Their lifeless eyes of sorrow
unknowingly transpire
the secret they are holding
the secret of desire

They think that they are hidden
but you see, they are naive
I can sense what they desire
I know exactly what they need

A smiles what I offer
I not dare give any more
my friends might turn their backs
if I care for those ignored

I never thought Id see
my feet inside their shoes
an unintended renegade
a loner I construed
