Moment

I sit and ponder,
mind thinks and wanders...
digging a hole so cold,
discovering loveless tears.

and then a moment passes.
I free myself from heart's ache,
and a smile flickers-
shining without reason.

forgotten stars will not bleed.
fallen angels will not cry.
I am reborn inside your light,
with love and a smile

these are the moments for which I live-
a soul finds its way to love again
only in a moment.
