The Angel's Deal

by Dacey Flame   Jan 31, 2008

Your Secret, like a sticky child.
Calm and sweet, and hardly wild.
But if awakended, please beware,
Secrets like this give quite a scare.

Nestled deep, clung to my back.
I brace myself for the attack.
In faith you told me long ago,
Now we wish I didn't know.

It was a trade, it was our deal.
Saying it made everything real.
You trusted me, I trusted you.
Thats all you need to make it through.

But then our friendship rammed a wall.
We argued if we talked at all.
Our secrets dust in the bottom box.
We fixed our hearts with praline locks.

Months and months of cons and pros,
We're friends again, but never as close.
Boundaries set, marked with a seal,
Simply because we both broke the deal.
