Now you know

by Keshia Bradley   Feb 1, 2008

In a dark mind it is easy to find,
That deep little hole that is so cold,
The pain is hotter, why even bother,
You can't get out, the barrier's stout,
Much more to see, much less to be.

You will find tears, built up over years,
Spilling out the eyes from the front and the sides,
Tearing the heart, ripping apart,
Lives full of torture, misleading order,
Beatings and cussing, lying and fussing.

And you wonder why that in your eyes,
She seems so weird and you never hear,
The sweet cries of sorrow, ending today beginning tomorrow,
Her pain is hidden in her soul
Now you know why her eyes are so cold.
