A Garden

by Spirit   Feb 1, 2008

A Garden
Has Two Tenants
One Wanted
Always Beautiful
Well Cared For
Loving, Kind
Ever Gentle
Other, Despised
As Stunning
But Wild
Forever Free
Demanding Love
Thrown Out
Swallowing Pride

    This is beautiful...

I like how you switched from beautiful to wild, I found the transition to make a powerful affect on the overall piece.

The imagery you portray in this piece is stunning, it creates such vivid pictures in my mind, it's like I can -see- everything that you're describing.

The flow was faultless throughout, just rolled right of the tongue, and I found this to be both original and unique in concept.

    Beautiful!

I agree - nice work, I think the weeds would agree also.

I love the way that you twist the language so that I would actually prefer to be the second garden "tenant." A really clever metaphor with twoo great contrasting sections that have so many similarities at the same time. My favourite lines were:

    "But Wild
    Forever Free
    Demanding Love"

I just loved your choice of words here .. it created flawless imagery. They were very expressive and created a welcoming mood. Short sweet and to the point. Well done *5/5*
