You mean everything

I took myself away last night
Took the things I loved and put them on the side
Oxygen crushed in my lungs
Breathed in concrete and the smile that you shared with me

Broken and made so bare
People I used to know and the ones I miss
Blood flows to my head
Taking the punches that you cannot see

And in that same reflection
I got caught by all the things that you said to me
And with a new reaction
I burned in the light that was inside of you

Blinded and disconnected
There was never a time where I remained so sure
But away I crawl

    This is a very creative and beautiful poem. The imagery was perfect and the flow was magnificent. I was captivated also by your choice of wording. You took a poem that could have turned out to be a cliche' and turned it into something immaculate. You have done a wonderful job on this one. The only suggestion that I is punctuation, but in this case I really didn't need it to understand the concept. Keep up the great work!
