Simplistic Complications

by Alexandra Jade Brewer   Feb 1, 2008

Running to class, tripping on my way
Coffee covered papers flying from my grip
Alarm clock faltered yet again
My favorite jeans catch and rip

Failing a quiz I should have aced
Gaining another important assignment
It will help me reach my dreams I mumble
But meaning another night of confinement

Walking home through pouring rain
Hair is drenched, mascara running
Notes are lost, rooms a mess
Another night the world I'm shunning

Head is pounding, can't think straight
A tap at the door that I can't ignore
Unlock the latch, stare in to love
You catch me before I fall to the floor

"You need a break, I'm here for you"
Walking down the empty streets
The rain gives up to the setting sun
Together as one two hearts beat

Racing towards the swings; you by my side
Flying on the wings of bliss
Simplistic of things release my complications
As we complete with a simple kiss

Aww, that ending was just perfect for this poem. I don't have much to say on it, the images were pretty vivid, I could almost picture the coffee being spilled.

Your work is just too brilliant to say anything else.
