Twisting Into Nothing

by Soulful Ensemble   Feb 2, 2008

I wish everything was the way I wanted it to be
I wish you'd love me more and pay attention to me.
I wish you noticed that I'm there
Waiting behind you, combing your hair.

Why don't you see I need you now
Because I'm crumbling into pieces?
I wish you'd take a vow
When my love for you increases.

I'm just sitting here, nowhere,
Waiting for you to say something.
I wonder why you don't see me there,
Twisting into nothing.

My cries are met with goodbyes;
My byes met with hellos.
My heart keeps asking why?
It can't seem to grow.

I'm twisting into nothing;
Something used to be.
I've forgotten what thing
It was I once did see.

I would like you to notice
That I need you here.
You like to pick the lotus
And that flower's near.

I never stray,
I'm at your hand.
If you wanna stay
I'll make it grand.

For the moment, I'm twisting into nothing,
And I can't wait for your eyes to see.
If they open fast then I will bring,
A key for you to lock the sea.
