Sad Poem

I long to be close to you,
close to me.
I long to touch you,
hear you breathe.
Whisper sweet things
I wanna hear.
God i'd give anything,
for you to be near.
Kiss me on the forehead,
Look me in the eyes.
Why did you suddenly
say your goodbyes?
I want to hold your hand,
and kiss your cheek.
There's so many words
I long to speak.
Remember the fun times?
The laughing, the love?
I now realize
you weren't sent from above.
Why did you leave me,
put my love on the shelf?
Not tryin to write a sad poem,
seems to have written itself.
