Love On Delay

A friend I love,
Someone very true.
Even though were close,
I'm not sure what to do.

We did date,
But not for long.
Now were just friends,
But is that wrong?

I'm not your type,
But your mine.
Why can't you love me?
And make our love shine.

Sorry that I'm ugly,
I didn't mean to be.
Knowing thats the reason,
Your not here with me.

"Lets just be friends"
Is what you say.
But your all I think about,
Each and every day.

To make you happy,
I say "OK".
Hopefully our love,
Is only on delay.
