I Can't Count

by Beautiful Forever   Feb 3, 2008

I can't count,
The total amount,
Of lies I've told,
And people I've consoled,

I've made them cry,
Feeding them a lie,
Then I held their hand,
To help them understand,

I can't count,
The total amount,
Of people I've saved,
And the paths I've paved,

I've held them close,
Giving them a dose,
Of words I'd say,
To help them find their way,

I try to recall,
How many times they fall,
But I can't find the amount,
Because I can't count.

    Wow...
This piece is amazing, so powerful and effective. I really like everything about it- It sound so honest and emotional like it written straight from the heart, filled with raw feelings. I can relate to it in a way. Whole poem has interesting flow and rhythm and you did a good job with rhymes. The fact that the ending line is the same as the first one is truly effective. All in all, fantastic poem.
    Keep up!
