I Cry

When I'm alone, shaking, sacred,
When my life is being dared,
I sleep, but only close one eye,
Because when I get this way, I cry,

The loss of a loved one,
Killed by the trigger of a gun,
Wishing I was the one to die,
When I feel this way, I cry,

Even when I get a surprise,
Laying under beautiful blue skies,
Knowing this will pass me by,
I still feel as though, I'll cry,

Sitting in my room going insane,
I take my pain, use it for personal gain,
And continue looking for the reason why,
When I hurt inside, I cry.
