Forgive and Forget

by Steph Burgess   Feb 3, 2008

Forgive and forget
Words used in the act of making amends
If not appreciated soon enough
Things will fall apart and make an end

Forgive
The hardest word of all
To excuse someone from their wrong doings
And let them back in your life to once again appal

Forget
A way of suffering
To cease remembering something that once hurt so much
A way to ignore and neglect everything
And let go of the memories you clutch

Why are these words
Used so often but never meant?
Why say it if you know
It will just be a waste of time spent

Im regretting my decision
I once thought it would be fine
To forgive and forget
But is just harder over time

Don say it, If you dont mean it
Because you to will regret
It will be as worthless as
My deep dark silhouette

My silhouette full of lies
And secrets that are left to hide
For now they are to remain inside
Forever and always until the next to coincide
