You told her you didn't love her
you told her you did care.
You told her she could just waste her life
Just wishing you were there.
You told her you loved another
you asked her why she couldn't see?
And she tried to tell you her love was meant to be.
She told you you would realize
but then it would be to late.
She told you she would die.
But you couldn't meet her eye.
For you knew the words she spoke had truth.
But you didn't know what to do.
By the time you made up your mind
You knew it was to late.
For she was in a better place
Behind the golden gate.
God was looking down on you,
saying you should be ashamed,
You could of stopped this madness,
You could have eased her pain,
now you stand atop her grave
Your face is growing dim,
Your chances at loving again
Were surly slim.
You told her you didn't love her
you told her you didn't care
you told her she could just waste her life
wishing you were there,
But now the tables have turned you see
for you are now in pain,
So boy just walk away and bow your head in shame.
