Stars

by McKenzieSerenity   Feb 4, 2008

A blanket of cold,
All lovely and white,
Smooth and untouched.
The sun shines brightly
Unto the maiden's icy wind stock,
And tells all the secrets of the stars.
The white stars the glitter in the dark
Fall to earth as frozen white chips,
Piling atop one another.
Each trees to gain the favor of the sun,
To sparkle in its reflected glory.
Sapphire skies brag to the trees,
"We are higher than you and do not die!"
And a girl scoops up the stars
And molds it into a moon,
And her moon hits a boy.
The water is still,
But near the heart it flows,
And children scratch and cut its surface.
The world sleeps,
And the people play,
And the stars fall.
This is winter.
This is when the stars share their secrets.

    by Gabba Gabba Hey

There are so many beautiful and well written lines in this that to point one out would be to disgrace all the others. Simply amazing.

I would say proofread though, I see some errors.

    Great poem, really.
