End Of The Moon

by DoubtTheSinner   Feb 4, 2008

*This is for my sister. I hope you like it*

Well look at this now, look at what we have
Your saying words that really don`t sing
To our bleeding hearts, I didn`t choose
The mistakes she made, so we`ll leave
To show a place where we exist
And we both have secrets at the end of the moon

Well I`m sorry to say, but it looks
Like we`re at the end of the moon
Saying these lines we played so well
Writing meaningless words on our hands
And I`m sorry to say, but it looks
Like we`re trying to get our point across
At the end of the moon

I realize now that we didn`t even see the stars
As we traveled past the sky, leaving our smiles behind
Trying to tell me something I didn`t want to hear
Singing the words to an empty world
You`d rather sleep under the stars
The try to reach for the sky

Well I`m sorry to say, but it looks
Like we`re at the end of the moon
Saying these lines we played so well
Writing meaningless words on our hands
And I`m sorry to say, but it looks
Like we`re trying to get our point across
At the end of the moon

We both feel like we tried too hard
To see what was never there
Hoping the world would stop just to see
What lies at the edge of the world

Well I`m sorry to say, but it looks
Like we`re at the end of the moon
Saying these lines we played so well
Writing meaningless words on our hands
And I`m sorry to say, but it looks
Like we`re trying to get our point across
And I`m sorry to say, but it looks
Like we`re at the end of the moon
And I`m sorry to say, but it looks
Like we`re at the end of the moon
