Darkness is My Last Comfort

by DarknessInMySoul   Feb 4, 2008

Don't know where I'm going,
but it's far away,
anguish and despair overwhelm me,
on the ground I lay.

Crying doesn't distract the pain
that you left for me,
I have no one left to help me,
I need you, can't you see?

As the world around me crumbles,
I just close my eyes,
no choices left in life,
so I'll lay down to die.

I gently pushed the cool metal,
right into my arm,
smiling at the pain,
it's a relief from a hell,
I know that there's no shame.

I let the darkness overwhelm me,
and the last thing I see,
is a beauty who far surpasses me,
and then everything disappears,
and nothing appears anymore.

    Loved this stanza.
