Not for me

I wish i had the words to fill this page
i wish that the ink stains would cover my hands
i wish that beauty would spill out of my fingers
i wish i had sounds to describe beautiful, faraway lands

i wish i could depict heartache
i wish i could create love
i wish i could call to the skies
and the heavens above

i wish i could bring you to fantastical places
i wish that the starlight would glitter in my eyes
i wish that i could shock you
or even surprise

but alas i am not destined
to create loveliness upon a page
so i shall let others take center stage
