A song of love

by Valiantpenguin   Feb 6, 2008

To all who feel that hope is gone,
Listen to me,
I'll play you a song,
A song about love,
A song about pain,
Where a man finds a woman,
Out in the rain.

One cold night,
As this man walked along,
With joy in his heart,
His mind filled with song,
When he heard a cry,
A cry for help,
In the alley he looked,
Again the woman yelped,
He saw she was being attacked,
And quickly tried to save her,
A few blows to the attacker,
And down he went,
She was grateful for this,
And thanked him for her life,
But he fell for her,
The moment he looked into her eyes.

How beautiful was she,
And he had to have her,
Her beautiful red hair,
Like the fires of the sun,
Her deep brown eyes,
Filled with intelligence,
And as Jaded as an old lady
Her skin so fair,
As white as snow,
She looked deep into his eyes,
And seemed to feel the same pull as he.

She began to rise on tip-toe,
He leaned his head down as if bowing,
Their lips met,
And sparks flew,
They had a moment of looking into each others souls,
Each others minds,
She saw how he longed to have her,
How he longed to love her,
He saw how she longed to hold him,
How she longed to be loved by him.

That day was ten days ago,
And it was just a dream,
But what a beautiful dream it was,
And what a beautiful ending it would have made,
It makes me sad,
Because I know it'll never happen.
