Even hero's

by kerrial   Feb 6, 2008

The great hero of war
Dreamed of riches and gold
He sat through his days decrypted and old
Reminiscing his act of the law

One night he sat with a ticket in hand
Watching the TV waiting for that beautiful sound
As the numbers were called aloud
The shock rankled him
Like he’d been hit to the ground
The heart attack struck, dieing silently
Never to be found
