Dusty Air

by Edward Latina   Feb 6, 2008

Fog surrounds them...
Not the fog of the mist...
The Fog of War shrouds their senses,
As the bullets and bombs hiss.

A Lonely Soldier will carry on,
Taking Lives, Giving None,
Sadness engulfs, anger invades,
He carries on, hefting his gun.

None can understand him,
Everyone screams his name,
They have no idea, no clue,
Of the death he hath rained.

For in this Dusty Air of War,
No one will find solace here.
As the bullet's hiss and bomb's roar,
No one will find solace here.
