I need it here
The compliments you gave me
They have disappeared.

I need you to show me
The love we felt is still strong
I still fill the same
But your love seems long gone.

I try to make you notice me
Whenever you are near
I'm not seen or heard
But everyone else's words you can hear.

I only hear your voice
When its to abuse or criticize
I'm starting to wonder
If my feelings i should revise.

All i want is you to love me
And show I'm worth everything others say i am
But all you do is talk down to me
Like an infant sitting in a pram.

Do you want me to not feel confident?
Or to feel I'm not worthy of your love,
The more i hear your abuse
You will be sending your abuse to the heavens above.

I have to assume it boils down to you
And your insecurities that lie deep inside
The only way of dealing with them
Is to abuse me, that way from yourself you can hide.
