Stay out of my life, Miss Playa

by Jason   Feb 6, 2008

In December, you told me how you missed me.
You wanted to even go on a date with me.
You haven't returned my calls nor my emails.
Which makes me think you were teasing with me.

You did talk to me while my mother was in the hospital.
When she came back home, you even stopped attempting to contact me.
You must think you were providing a service for me when I had no one to talk to,
You convinced me you are far from a true friend.

You're a good example of a woman who plays around with guys.
Because the only time you called me at all is when you tried to
Take advantage of my financial life.
As my mother said herself, "When someone asks you for money, you need to cut ties with them."

It's sad that I thought you were at least a friend to me,
You never even called me to wish happy holidays in December.
I've recovered from losing you as a simple friend.
Since your actions speak louder than your words.

My life has moved on.
I have a friend in my life who means a lot more to me than you.
She's a good role model for ALL Black women out there.
Because she has goals and thinks positive all of the time.

I want to wish you good luck in life.
I mean those words since I don't lie.
You need to be a woman.
And talking to a guy only when you need money ain't being a woman.

I'm almost 30 years old.
I need a real woman in my life.
I don't have time for even treating simple friendships as games.
It's nice to know I'm a sweetie to at least one real woman out there.

This is very nice Jason. Sounds like you placed all your emotions into this one poem. I told you that you would get better with time; and look, you have already improved. I am proud of what you have accomplished and you should be too. Keep up the good work!

  • Gawd, I don't know how many times this has happened to me in the past. I think I'm going to take your mothers words as words of wisdom for myself...
When someone asks you for money, you need to cut ties with them.
Anyway, it was great and I loved it. It really mirrored a lot of things that has happened in my life as well.
