And as he walked away for the very last time, the only sound in that entire room- was her broken heart screaming
"I still love you"

Her biggest fear that night wasn't having to watch him come in with her, hold and kiss her, and leave with her...it was letting him see that her heart was still broken.

She looks at him, all the light in her eyes fading. She says "babe, I just don't know what I'm fighting for." Choking back tears he whispers "Babe, I'm fighting just to keep you."

It takes a good friend,

And as they both lay in seperate fields, staring at the same night sky. The same thought keeps repeating in their minds- why they didn't try.
