Sometimes at night, I cannot sleep
While thinking of my fail'd romances...
The Garden of Eden
Is evenly spread...
We all begin with noble thoughts in mind
To make a government that serves mankind...
The world is a locomotive,
In senseless rush and active fury rolling on...
They say that in the depth of failure,
Amidst the tears, pain and dour stress...
I 've had a friend and two and three
Who came to borrow cash from me...
Some folks prefer to spend their lives alone
To seek a secret reason for events well-known...
They say to me that it' not me you love,
But things that I am in possession of...
Why is it so hard for us to earn,
But spending comes without really trying...
I think that love is not exactly what we think,
And it is not the person that we love per se...
Some people live in stately mansions,
And some, in blighted neighborhoods...
Beyond the waters, way below,
Lie shiny caps of Southern snow...
