Once I had a notion
A thought, a glance of life...
The writhing mess of churned up life
Is killing me bit by bit...
Soft peach skin lay just there
His beautiful face alight with love...
The seconds pass once again
I am upon this land of despair...
Simple forms of scattered red
Lay around this land of dead...
From beneath the shaded tree
I lay there reading, thinking, dreaming...
This place I've created
This land in my mind...
I've returned and I'm back
People still here; faces of recognition...
So near that I can touch you
So close that I can say...
Gentle wavelets of pure simplicity
Lap so sweetly at the shore...
I stare quietly at the floor
Those black and red tiles...
Soft dark secrets blown by the wind
A thousand kisses in the sun...
