The night is now a refuge for the soul
Dipped among the shadows that crushed so long ago...
It comes to me, this dead of night
A whisper faint against my ear...
Sometimes it seems so hard to hold
Within your mind your heart and soul...
The darkness
now engulfs me...
I have a friend who's in my pocket
She's such a help to me...
I'm just a frog on a lily pad
Sitting in this pond...
Before the horse drawn hearse,
In black top hat and tails...
Paint the walls, fight again, I'm past the point...
No longer one to cower down to your heartless...
Even when gasoline
mixes with water...
The glass menagerie
tainted by the amber glow...
She came to this chapel
just to sit for awhile...
The word still hangs
Lifeless...
