The hands on the clock twiched as it struck one
but no one noticed till it was a moment to late...
    Trapped by four walls,
white so brightly splatered across the bricks...
    A cry in the night,
no one seems to hear...
Written in stone the plan faded with age
all of a sudden the golden rules changed...
The preacher said you were in a better place,
but where could be better than here...
    I couldn't help but cry
even after I promised to be strong...
All I wanted this Christmas was a family,
A family to call my own...
I'm not a pawn on a game board,
you can't just roll the dice...
    Mother- daughter,
Father-son...
    I laid awake for hours
awaiting my goodnight hug...
    You were born,
I was scared...
I am a big sister of one cute kid,
though he's only 1 and mean as hell...
