Cravings,
For your embrace...
A crisp sheet of paper and a pen
My mind searches for emotions to write...
I cradle my heart in my hands
But will always lend it on command...
Frozen forever in one stance
A child’s play thing at one glance...
Everything’s going wrong
Feeling like I just don’t belong...
The day was cold and dreary
The sky was gray and teary...
Sitting tall and proud
Drawing the attention of every crowd...
Beepity Beepity Beep
I'm texting away...
You are the ghost,
That feverishly haunts my every thought...
The Day hath taken it’s final bow,
It’s time to throw down the dirty towel...
Whose reflection is this, in the mirror?
What truly have I become...
~ I wrote this for one of those fast poem contests...
When grandpa was a little lad...
