I can still recall with immaculate precision,
The night we met under starlit skies...
He use to make me laugh so hard.
I would hold him when I'd cry...
She likes him.
He likes her...
When pain has tipped the heart of glass
And time finds no relief...
I look at you with a smile on my face
For finally you and I have a place...
I once fell for a boy;
only one word fit him...
As sorrow drifts among my dreams
And night fades in to gray...
With each and every passing moment,
The suspense I have grows uncontrollably...
Its been months since Ive seen your face
It felt so good to see you after all this time...
How do I keep going on with life
Pretending to be okay...
Little black boxes
and pumpkin cars...
I used to look in your eyes
and i'd see something...
Right when I met you, you lifted me off my feet,
I couldn't handle the happiness and you knew it...
Can't he just stop hurting?
He's feeling so much pain...
As she reads the words he wrote,
Her teardrops fall like rain...
Oh son, you're such a charming boy,
With your shining smile and translucent eyes...
No uttered words the poet speaks,
No skies of golden hue...
I wrote this poem a little while ago after...
He woke up that one morning...
