I am a 31 year old mother of two from michigan who recently moved to tennessee. I have a daughter Jamee age 13 and a son Michael who passed away in 2001 3 weeks before his fifth birthday. He is who most of these poems are about. |
The one with the brightest eyes
The one who made everyone smile...
To steal a moment in time,
Now wouldn't that be grand...
Oh baby how I miss you!
I think of you everyday...
You were here, you were gone,
In the blink of an eye...
My heart, my inspiration,
The reason I carry on...
Thinking of you, feeling your pain.
As I sit here going through this once again...
Letting go of the pain, moving on with life.
Is the moral of the story...
Birthdays may come, and birthdays may go.
But the memories of you, they always flow...
Memories that used to come so clear,
Memories that now struggle to appear...
Guess what big guy, your finally five
How long we've waited for this day...
Live for the moment, tomorrow may not come. |
