Why is it that all it takes is one word, put into one line, to tear your heart apart.

Questions cloud my thoughts
I begin to fill with doubt
Did he really like me
Or was it simply lust
Did he really love me
Or did it melt to dust

"It's always something." I reply, as I walk away.

The day I watched you walk out that door, was the day my heart was torn into a million pieces.

You said you would never let me go, and blindly I believed you.

I wouldn't change what we had, even if I had the choice.
