the air doesn't smell so sweet...

My heart is so empty, I feel so alone.
Being without you brings a chill to my bone...

My sleep has been so restless
since we've been apart...

Every day the emotions
swing wildly to and fro...

How can I let go of forever
Forever I wanted to be with you...

How many days together
Two thousand or more I'd say...

I wish I never wrote this poem
Wish the words I did not create...

Is there still a ray of hope for us or is this...
As time passes on so painfully I'm now too numb to...

When you looked for happiness, you searched around...
To see who was there, to bring you cheer, to make...

We've had many yesterdays, but only one today
God willing many more yesterdays shall pass along...

Why can't real life be like a movie
where it's always happy in the end...

You said you'd love me forever,
those words were just a lie...
