Our eyes met across a table
In class, we were really fried...
Left out of those poems, parts one through three
Are the thoughts that transpire when you make love...
I hope you know how much I love you
I wish you could see into my heart...
You may not feel that you're deserving,
And you've had fears I'll be deserting...
Darling, you are my soul-mate,
Another poem to spell this out...
The fire crackles and pops,
Yet we seek our warmth...
While the Northern Lights
Graced last night's sky...
I can count on death and taxes
And the sun to start the day...
On the days your away
And the nights we're apart...
The stars are no longer just lights the sky
Instead becoming twinkles in your light blue eyes...
As long as you'll have me near you
You can trust that I'll be right here...
I sure do miss you
That's so plain to see...
