The dark can't stay too long
I know if I wait patiently enough...
I once had a friend, who I very seldom see
Sometimes I hated him, for his soul mirrored me...
Break your heart one two many time
And you'll never have it whole...
Another day over, another day gone
The watcher stood still, waiting...
When your heart beats a hundred and ten
And you know not when it stops...
The rainy season has gone on forever
and puddles litter my road...
There's this rhythm fleeting
Like a shadow on the corner...
Shaking inside,
I couldn't hide...
Glass, its a fragile, funny thing
dropped, and it will break...
I can make rhymes about rainbows
But not about her smile...
The tears have finally ceased to fall
From this fool poet's haggard face...
The rhymes never did save a soul
it couldn't help you and me...
