I ask the Mockingbird
In the midst of his aria...
Divinity
My eyes were hungry for color...
A whisper here, a snicker there
What harm could it do...
My Demon shrouds me in shadow
Cruelly shutting out the light...
Who would think
That petals of pink...
Summer flowers feed my heart
Birdsong satisfies my soul...
An acrostic that spells out "Happy New...
Harken as the snowflakes fall...
There once was a Persian Pussycat
Who always loved to pounce...
Perfect
I catch myself thinking...
Even a sparrow soars
As its tiny soul...
