My name is Kayla Hiemstra. I live in what could possibly be one of the smallest towns in America, but I'm originally from H-town, Texas. Anyways, I love poetry, although I'm not always that good at writing it, but I can at least say I try. Most of my poems are influenced by events in my life, or the people in my life. |
The moonlight hit just right
Reflecting off waves of sparkling iridescence...
You are one of my best friends
This is true...
He was new
And looking for something to do...
Looking up into a dark, handsome face
She remembered nights, and endless days...
Love flown away
Looking for a better way...
Many people try to take it,
The freedom we try hard to keep...
The sun hangs lower in the sky still,
Staining what was once blue with rich colors of...
Time spent in serenity's place,
Moments of love in time's embrace...
Girls look forward to it
Most boys dread it...
Life is the scariest thing you can face, but you don't have to do it alone. Always have someone by your side to help you and guide you, and you them. |
Don't let yourself be controlled by your peers. Don't be afraid to be an individualist. Nothing benefits society more than someone who's not afraid to let them self shine through. |
If you dream it, |
