I talked louder and laughed harder just to get you to look my way

I didn't want to admit it, it was easier to lie,
And hide the hurt and emptiness, to smile instead of cry

So I'd prefer to be remembered as a smiling face,
Not this f**king wreck that's taken its place

Sometimes when I say Oh, Im fine I want someone to look me in the eyes & say tell the truth

My eyes burn from these tears

Im tired of hiding behind these lying eyes

Man it takes a silly girl
to lie about the dreams she has.

In the mirror I see my destiny

As I look into his eyes again
