the noise was almost deafening...

their footsteps loud and heavy...

Next week is my birthday,
which means I will turn one...

I've lived here for a week now,
my family seem okay...

I am one and a half years old now
and my fur has all grown back...

Tomorrow came and tomorrow went,
still no one wanted me...
