Monsters surround me with dominance,
carrying out little acts of God...
This life was not my choice,
constantly rising and falling...
I'm no longer falling asleep
with writer's block...
In the chilled air of evening,
the thrashing waves vanished...
Suddenly,
the uninvited music bounce into my ears...
Sharing our serene beach
as beating waves shimmer like diamonds...
I want to believe every word you say,
even before you say it...
I can't remember a time where you were there
to share my tears of pain or joy...
A bitter wind, with frost in its bite,
was upon us that dreadful December day...
An ordinary day in October finds me collapsing
into a pile of leaves on the ground...
There used to be so much sorrow behind these eyes...
a lonely girl passing away into the inviting black...
The smell of your smoke still lingers,
reminding me of one more thing that you refuse to...
