My name is Alyssa, and I am 17. I tend to write whatever flows through my fingers. Often times, I have no idea what I have written until I read it through. But still, I love to write whenever possible. Poetry, stories, essays, any and every type of writing possible. I also love to read, and use my love of words to enhance my own work. I read A LOT. I can rarely be seen without a book in my hands, and ink smudged on my fingers. Can it be that I'm in love with words? Most definitely. I also love singing and acting. When I'm not writing, I can usually be found on the stage, or singing in my awesome choir. These are the basic things about me....

I have been through a lot in my short life, and I draw a lot of inspiration from the dark side of things as a result of this. But I am also an optimist, and refuse to give up. One day, I hope to have my poetry published, and to sing on Broadway. I don't care if I am not known by fifty-million people... I only want to mean something to someone.
