The ground shakes.
Each step is harder...
Beautiful glistening serenade,
flip flopping 'round my feet...
You dive into my skin:
burying through layers...
The voice says "let go,"
but I know I won't let go...
Life-stars:
burning the sky...
Fluff-white animals
racing thick blue forevers...
They lay me down
on the polyester seat...
I walk through the hallways
With my confidence on my sleeves...
Paper thin candies strewn on the floor;
paper weight gumdrops glued to my door...
O, tears!
I watch as they drip...
So I sang my song
of lament and fear...
Let us walk down to the river side,
Come along now my tear-stained bride...
